Apparently you have to cut out the bar code from box of camera to claim your cashback, do you really have to cut the box about, don't really want to do this, in case I ever sell the camera.

I think you will find that you have to cut out the bar code. I have heard of people sending a copy and having it returned. What I have always done is to photocopy the bar code and tape it to the box. You will see several lenses and cameras for sale where it states that the bar code has been cut out of the box.
Its a shame having to wreck the box but there we are.
